Changes to the BC Methadone Program – Update on TTH

Many of you are aware of the changes to the BC Methadone Program that will come into effect as of February 1st, 2014. The BCCDC has collected information from the BC Ministry of Health, College of Pharmacists and College of Physicians and posted all in one location (also accessible on TTH homepage under News)

They’ve also prepared a couple of posters that can be put up in visible locations. The college of pharmacists is preparing additional materials in partnership with VANDU’s association of people on methadone (BCAPM). A public service announcement and some media pieces are being prepared by the Colleges & Ministry. The BCCDC will update the TTH blog with this information as it becomes available so please check the website frequently.

The BCCDC is also working closely with BC Drug & Poison Information Centre and are encouraging those with questions to call the 1-800-567-8911 for more info.

If you have suggestions for improving the existing posters, or other concerns that we may be able to mitigate, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thanks,
