Interior Health and PAN are excited to be partnering to host a capacity building event that will bring together people working in HIV, hepatitis C, STIBBI health promotion and harm reduction.
The event will be held on the traditional territory of the Syilx people of the Okanagan Nation, in what is often referred to as Vernon.
The gathering will offer capacity and community building resources for folks new and experienced in their work. A key focus of this event is perinatal substance use and will feature comprehensive presentations by Jan Ference, BEd, MS, IPMHF and Alexandra Olmos Perez, PhD, Clinical Ethicist with PHSA Ethics.
The event will be held on September 17th and 18th, 2024.
Please note that the morning of September 17th will be reserved for Interior Health funded groups to meet for their annual BBI Face-to-Face. Further program details for the afternoon of the 17th and the full day on the 18th will be released in the coming weeks.
The event will be held in Vernon at the Best Western Premier (5350 Anderson Way, Vernon).
