The CBRC team is currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

 

Executive Director

The CBRC is seeking a seasoned and passionate leader to join their Executive Management Team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the non-profit sector, fundraising knowledge and significant experience leading transformative strategic initiatives. The Executive Director will work collaboratively and meaningfully with local and regional organizations and Indigenous partners, leaders, and Elders to support people of diverse sexualities and genders, developing programs and initiatives that enhance the health and wellbeing of Canada’s Two-Spirit, queer, trans and non-binary communities.

The Executive Director is a highly skilled strategic and change leader who can navigate large, complex organizations, build capacity and can adapt to competing priorities, while leading a team of five direct reports:

  • Research Director
  • Knowledge Exchange and Policy Director
  • Program Director
  • Evaluation Director
  • Operations Director

The Executive Director is a visionary, capable of thinking outside the box and bringing the vision to reality, while providing strategic direction at all levels, working collaboratively across the organization with internal and external partners. Associate Director, Communications

The Associate Director, Communications leads the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of CBRC’s communications activities, deliverables, and strategies in fulfillment of the organization’s mandate, strategic priorities, and funded deliverables. In collaboration with the Director, Knowledge Exchange and Policy Development, as well as other Program Directors and Managers, the position is responsible for the effective implementation and evaluation of communications activities across CBRC research, programming, and policy initiatives.

Associate Director of Research

CBRC seeks a passionate and dynamic Associate Director of Research to collaboratively lead CBRC’s community-based research program. This position will work closely with the existing CBRC Research Director collaboratively dividing research leadership tasks and responsibilities, as well as with the research management team on consensus decision making and upholding CBRC’s research principles in their work.

While this position is considered permanent (i.e., indeterminate-term), please note that the continuity of employment is contingent on sustainable funding, as is the case with all positions at CBRC.

Bookeeper

This position will fill an important role at CBRC, supporting the large, growing team of 55 employees, their programs, and the vast amount of important work they do with and for the sexually- and gender-diverse communities we serve. The successful applicant will work closely with the Operations team (administration, finance, and human resources), but will take a central role in the day-to-day financial administration, with plenty of support from their team.
