Important Changes to the Community Social Services Sector Training Fund

from the Federation of Community Social Services of BC

The Federation of Community Social Services of BC is excited to announce two important changes to the Community Social Services Training Fund (CSSTF) for the 2021-22 fiscal year.

Apply for Both Funding Streams

As of April 2021, organizations can apply for both the Support for Certification/Education Individual Grant and the Support for Organizational Training Grant in the same fiscal year. You no longer need to choose between the two funding streams—if there is a need, organizations can submit an application for both. Learn more about the two funding streams and how to apply here.

Certification for Multiple Individuals

As of April 2021, organizations may now apply for Support for Certification/Education Individual Grant funding up to $15,000 on behalf of up to 10 employees ($1,500 per employee) so that multiple staff members can participate in a range of formal continuing education. This will enable organizations to support even more individuals in achieving certification or course completion with an accredited bodies or institutions. The course, institution, and certification for each employee will need to be identified as part of the application.

Another HR Management Cohort

In addition to the above changes, a second offering of the HR Management Basics: Recruitment to Onboarding workshop series has been announced. Another cohort of participants will be able to learn and explore specific skills and tools for interviewing and integrating new staff between April 22nd and May 13th. The second cohort will be made up of a combination of new applicants and those who have already applied and are on the waitlist.
