Equity and Access to Healthcare Services for Racialized Women – webinar

Join this webinar to hear from Women’s Health in Women’s Hands (WHIWH) Community Centre as they share their framework(s) of service delivery from trauma-informed, equity and social justice and intersectional perspectives presented by Wangari Tharao, Director of Research and Programs. This will be followed by a presentation from Mary Ndung’u, social worker at WHIWH who will speak on using evidence to inform practice – utilizing research and evidence generated from electronical medical records (EMR) in-house and about the HIV Prevention and Care Cascade. And Sharifah Nalugo will present on her experience with the Ambassadors program, where she will discuss involving women in delivery of programs and services targeted to them through the Peer/Community Health Ambassador participation.

On the day of the webinar, click the link on the confirmation email to watch the webinar. It will take you to the Zoom.us site. Click “join from your browser”.

You will need internet connection to participate in Zoom webinars through the web-based interface. You may also join audio by phone for the English presentation. Please note: French interpretation is not available by phone at this time. To hear the French interpretation audio you will need to join Zoom via the web-based interface and select computer audio.
