We were pleased to host Venessa Ryan, who is the Senior Practice Lead in Epidemiology for Clinical Prevention Services at the BC Centre for Disease Control, supporting provincial surveillance of STIBBIs and TB. Venessa provided an update on current trends in STIs, including regional and provincial information on chlamydia, gonorrhea, and infectious syphilis, with an emphasis on infectious syphilis, given the ongoing increase in infectious syphilis in BC.
