The Positive Leadership Development Institute (PLDI) has offered leadership programming to people living with HIV in BC since 2009. To evaluate the program’s effect, we used a participatory evaluation process, where peers themselves plan, develop and implement the evaluation. This is a new approach in our community, that was very rewarding and one that should be celebrated, notes Janice Duddy, PAN’s Manager of Evaluation and Community-Based Research
A team of four Peer Evaluators were hired, trained, and supported to conduct the evaluation. Two of the Peer Evaluators had participated in the PLDI program and two had not. “That team of peer evaluators did a huge amount of work in a short period of time,” says Janice Duddy, PAN’s Director of Evaluation and Community-Based Research.
In this webinar, Janice and Paul Kerber, PAN’s Evaluation Coordinator present the findings of the Impact Evaluation. Learn more about the peer-led evaluation process and the learning from the evaluation.
