Gay Poz Sex program at Positive Living BC: website launch

Hello colleagues, supporters and friends!

I hope this email finds you well! My name is Sarah Chown and I am the Research Coordinator for the Vancouver site of the Gay Poz Sex (GPS) project at Positive Living BC. This program is facilitated by gay, poz men, and takes a gay- and sex-positive approach to understanding sexual health and getting good sex. The program began in Toronto a few years ago following a request from Ontario’s Poz Prevention Working Group. Over time, it’s been tailored based on feedback from participants, the experiences of the facilitators, and ongoing research. We are now offering GPS in both Toronto and Vancouver.

We are currently recruiting participants for the program, and encourage you to refer participants our way. Michael & Jonathan, the Vancouver facilitators, can be reached at  604-240-7205 or [email protected]. We are in the process of stepping up our recruitment efforts, including the launch of our new website www.gaypozsex.org. You should begin to see various forms of advertising over the coming months, including ads on Squirt.org starting this week.

If you work with an organization or know of additional resources that should be listed on our GPS website (either on the Online Resources page or the Toronto or Vancouver Community Resources pages) please let us know. We would love to draw as much attention as possible to our new site so please feel free to share the website liberally, add our website onto your organization’s website and/or tweet about it if you/your organization has a Twitter account. If this is something that you’re interested in, here are some possible Tweets to make use of:
