Measuring Reductions in STBBIs: Your Input Matters

Help Shape how Canada evaluates its success in addressing HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C and other STBBIs!

Reducing the health impact of sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBIs) is a key goal for British Columbia, for Canada, and globally. To support this goal, the Public Health Agency of Canada released a Pan-Canadian STBBI Framework for Action and a working group has been developed to propose indicators that will monitor progress of the Framework. The working group wanted to gather community feedback on the indicators, and what is important to measure to reduce STBBIs.

We hosted a webinar with Dr. Jason Wong (BC Centre for Disease Control) and J. Evin Jones (Pacific AIDS Network) sharing presentation duties to walk us through the development and concepts of the Framework. This was followed by questions and feedback on the the Framework development.

If you didn’t attend the live webinar, your thoughts on the Framework indicators are still welcome. Once you have watched the webinar, please fill out the survey for feedback. It will remain open until July 19. Add your voice to the survey
