Research/Community Event Opportunity for Migrant Women Living with HIV in Vancouver

You are invited to attend an in-person community gathering and session on co-creating recommendations and calls-to-action to improve the health of migrant, refugee, and newcomer women living with HIV. This event is being organized in collaboration with the Afro-Canadian Positive Network of BC, Ribbon Community, and researchers at the University of British Columbia (PI: Dr. Eli Puterman).

When: Saturday, November 15, 2025: 2 PM – 5 PM

Where: Afro-Canadian Positive Network of BC office, 3999 Henning Dr, Burnaby, BC

The session is for migrant women living with HIV, service providers, healthcare providers, and policymakers who are interested in advancing the health of migrant women living with HIV.  Following a brief presentation about their research to date, you will be invited to participate in a series of activities to identify recommendations in relations to women living with HIV’s immigration journey, barriers to healthcare, and stigma.

The event will also feature theatre and dance performances from the Afro-Canadian Positive Network of BC and includes dinner.

**Honoraria is available for women living with HIV**
