The PAN team was pleased to hold our annual capacity and community building event for people working in HIV, hepatitis C, STIBBI health promotion and harm reduction in April 2025. We met on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh people in what is often referred to as Prince George.

Day 1 (April 15): Talking in Circles- Walking with Medicine
This day-long circle shared Indigenous ways of knowing and the starting points of Two-Eyed Seeing, the identification of medicines that can support the grounding, witnessing, and the resources to promote healing-mindsets and practices for frontline workers.

Day 2 (April 16): STIBBI health promotion and harm reduction
Understanding PEP, PrEP, and Doxy PEP in BC
Presenter: Darren Ho, Health Initiative for Men
Testing, testing, testing: This was a roundtable discussion amongst attendees on testing practice and access to testing for STIBBIs
Presenter: Dr. Sofia Bartlett, Scientific Director (Interim), Clinical Prevention Services, BC Centre for Disease Control
