World Hepatitis Day with Action Hepatitis Canada

via Action Hepatitis Canada

On Thursday, July 28th, Action Hepatitis Canada will join hundreds of organizations around the world to observe World Hepatitis Day.

By taking part in World Hepatitis Day, you can amplify our call for the Government of Canada, as well as every province and territory, to bring urgency to eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat in Canada by 2030.

Social Media Toolkit

We have put together a social media toolkit for you, with updated graphics to share for each priority population — all aligned with the World Hepatitis Alliance global theme of “I Can’t Wait.” We’ll share these again closer to World Hepatitis Day, but you can also access them now if you like to prep your posts well in advance. Our thanks to CATIE for including these materials in their social media toolkit as well!

Media Talking Points

New this year, and by request from members, we are also developing media talking points for you, pulled from our #CanHepDay 5 federal asks, our 2021 Progress Report, and our Prison Health is Public Health report. These will be added to the World Hepatitis Day webpage in the coming days.

You are the expert on what is happening locally. If you are also looking to tie your comments to advocacy asks that are part of the broader movement and AHC’s 72 member organizations, these talking points will help you do so. You can also use AHC as a media contact if you like: Jennifer van Gennip, Executive Director, Action Hepatitis Canada: [email protected].
