Webinar: The epidemiology of diagnosed cases and national estimates of HIV in Canada

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a continuing international epidemic and an important public health issue in Canada. The Public Health Agency of Canada works in partnership with other organizations to conduct surveillance on newly diagnosed cases of HIV in Canada. This webinar will present the major epidemiological findings from the report HIV in Canada: Surveillance Report, 2019.   In addition to routine HIV surveillance, national estimates of the number of new HIV infections, the number of people estimated to be living with HIV and Canada’s progress towards global HIV elimination targets will be presented.
