Focus Groups: HIV and Aging in ACB Communities

Realize is currently conducting focus groups to better understand what it’s like to be an African, Caribbean or Black (ACB) person in Canada who is aging with HIV.  We’re hoping to talk to people with lived experience as well as service providers who support these communities.  Themes emerging from the focus group discussions will inform the development of a new community resource to be released in February 2019.

The following focus groups will be held by phone and are open to participants from across Canada:

Older adults (age 50+) living with HIV from ACB communities are invited to join us by phone (toll-free) on: Wednesday January 16, 2019 from 1:30 – 3:30pm Eastern Time

*You may use a nickname on the call to protect your confidentiality if you feel more comfortable doing so

**A small honourarium will be provided in the form of an electronic gift card

Service providers who support older adults (age 50+) living with HIV from ACB communities are invited to join us by phone (toll-free) on: Friday January 18, 2019 from 1:00-3:00pm Eastern Time

Please share this information widely!  To register for either focus group, please email [email protected] or call Kate Murzin at 416-513-0440 ext 244.
