EXPLORING EVERYDAY ACTIVISM WITHIN THE CANMEDS HEALTH ADVOCATE ROLE
We would like to invite you to participate in a research study led by the Centre for Health Education Scholarship (CHES) at the University of British Columbia. The aim of our study is to better understand the CanMEDS Health Advocate role, particularly the everyday activities that might be expected of physicians as health advocates. You have been invited to participate in this study because you have been identified by your community as a physician advocate working to change the system. Hearing about your advocacy experience will contribute to a better understanding of the role that advocacy plays in the medical profession.
The study involves a 60-minute individual interview at a time and location that is convenient for you. The interview can be done by phone or in person. To acknowledge your time commitment we are offering a small honorarium for participation.
More details about the study and the research procedures can be found in the consent form that is attached to this email. If you are interested in participating or have any questions about the study, please email Sarah Dobson, co-principal investigator of this study and Research Manager at Centre of Health Education Scholarship ([email protected]).
