The Ministry of Health (the Ministry) launched ThinkHealthBC on April 4, 2012, to engage British Columbians in a new way of thinking about our health care system. Through ThinkHealthBC, the Ministry is moving forward online with its focus on citizen engagement and open dialogue.
Since its initial launch, the ThinkHealthBC team has enhanced the site based on user experience and staff feedback. As a result, we have a fresh new look, a stronger call to action and improved navigation. The vision remains to increase understanding of the health care system and provide a virtual meeting place to foster open dialogue on matters relating to the system and system change. ThinkHealthBC is where the Innovation and Change Agenda, or Strategic Plan, comes to life.
You will find the navigation friendly, with each pillar leading you through the plan, videos, information and related discussions/comments. Also, staying on trend with user preferences, we have added a video section to house our 27 videos. You will also see our new video on LEAN, which showcases how health care innovation in BC is ensuring that treatment is more efficient, effective and patient-centric.
The resources section is also a stand-alone section now, allowing us to build out greater connections to our key partners and featured services. The upgraded ThinkHealthBC News section keeps you up-to-date with the program and what is happening in the Ministry’s health news.
There is now a Twitter feed directly on our home page. To share in the community and frequent communications, be sure to follow us at @ThinkHealthBC.
Please take the time to check out the new look at ThinkHealthBC and be sure to share with your employees and stakeholders. Feedback can be sent to [email protected]
