The Purpose Society is funded by Fraser health to provide mobile harm reduction services to New Westminster, Burnaby and the Tri Cities. The Health Van is expanding its operating hours and is looking for a harm reduction worker to operate the van for 17.5 hours/week on Wednesday’s from 9-5pm and Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-11pm. The Health Van provides the following services:
- Needle recovery outreach
- Distribution of condoms, clean needles and other harm reduction supplies
- Resource and referral information
- Disease and violence prevention; education and information
